    Our Community

Bulldogs are a community of people and perspectives from all over the United States and around the world.

We are proud to be a diverse university, and believe learning from each other is one of the best parts of the college experience.

More than 220 student clubs and organizations means more than 220 opportunities to get involved, meet new people, and have some fun!

[music playing] I work as a team member in Student Life, and we offer a variety of services. One of those things is the LGBT Resource Center, just opened in 2018. Adjacent to that is our Veterans Resource Center, also within our Division of the Office of Multicultural Student Services located over in Flight. With the Office of Multicultural Student Services, we have opportunities for engagement and support one on one with our professional staff. We have development programs and offers where students can learn about themselves and others to better prepare them for the real world. Students are going to get a chance to understand how diverse Ferris is. And I think also with our culture centers on campus, we do that job as well, from the Latino Center as well as the International Office, just offering opportunities where students can engage and learn about one another. Some of the resources and services that we offer include our Veteran Resource Center. That's a place where students can come between classes. They can take some time to study and/or just hang out with other veterans. Any question that somebody may have, anything military-related, after-military-related, we help them through that. We try to answer those questions or at least connect them with someone that can answer those questions. Fraternity and sorority life at Ferris State University is really building a network of people to build a family away from your family at home. On campus, they get involved with a lot of different opportunities, from homecoming to service projects to traditions on campus. The fraternity and sorority community just celebrated grief week last week, and we raised $2,500 for leadership conferences and the philanthropies of the winning teams. [music playing]
