Big Rapids

[music playing] I think some of the places that make historic Big Rapids downtown unique are the restaurants, the people, the different shops that are down there. One that stands out is Schuberg's-- one of the best burgers in Michigan. The movie theater is downtown. And getting some Kilwins ice cream, which is my favorite. For nature, the Big Rapids area has plenty of trails for hiking, lakes. You travel anywhere 10 minutes outside of Big Rapids and you're at a lake. It's pretty amazing what you can do if you love water. Hunting, fish, game, the opportunities are endless. You can actually right from this facility rent a lot of equipment to go out and go camping and snowshoeing and fishing and all those fun things. I moved back here to go to school from Connecticut. So I went from a very cold-shoulder East Coast area to basically a family here in Big Rapids. And it didn't take very long for that to happen. And when you're in a smaller Midwestern town, everybody just seems to look out for your best interests. And that's a lot different than what I experienced in years prior to moving back to Michigan and coming to Big Rapids. [music playing]
